Christmas Coral: Christopher Ward W60 Coral Ceramic watches

Christopher Ward has just introduced a new range of high-tech ceramic watches, not for men, but for women.  The light and extremely tough ceramic used on the Coral W60’s bezel was originally developed for the heat shield of the space shuttle.

Combined with the hand-finished marine grade stainless steel case, it gives the Coral W60 a strikingly clean look, making it as beautiful as it is tough.

The watches run on a Ronda quartz movement. Starting at £499, they're just about within the Christmas budget.

Christopher Ward has carved a sometimes controversial niche as being the British designed Swiss-made watchmaker who has almost single-handedly brought Swiss watch prices down to man (and woman) in the street prices, while the quality and care one expects of a Swiss watch is still inherent in every model.

The company also offers what they call 360 degree service – all round customer care, which includes a 60 day warranty on every watch.
