See Emily play: Christopher Ward Emily Diamond watch

Christopher Ward have not created a new watch for Valentine’s Day, but they have selected one from their ladies collection which should serve to remind every man who has a woman that there are less than three days before the day itself, and it’s time you did something about it.

The trick is to buy something that looks the part while reminding your partner your credit card is still recovering from the Christmas/New Year onslaught.

So whether or not your other half is called Emily, she may well be delighted with the Christopher Ward Emily Diamond Double Tour Leather ladies watch. Its retro looks are inspired by the equestrian English tradition, and at just £399 (approx US$630) it’s affordable.

The double leather strap is designed it to lend the watch a vintage appeal with a contemporary touch. Both the straps are all around stitched making it even more classic in design. The rectangular case is embellished with 38 studded diamonds on both the sides. The inside dial bears the Christopher Ward logo under the 12'o clock position. The 12 and 6'o clock positions are in Arabic numerals digits while the rest of the face is decorated with baton numerals.

The Swiss made Emily Diamond watch features a 4 jewel Ronda gold-gilt quartz movement and 38 top Wesselton white diamonds. The Italian leather strap and with motif buckle with hand polished case adds to the uniqueness of the watch. The watch is 3 atm water resistant - in other words, splash-proof.

The stainless steel version DS21 and the darker strap versions of the watch are equally eye catching, and retail at the slightly higher price of £425 (approx $671). Decisions, decisions, and time is ticking away.
